The Sault Area Arts Council and Sault Area Art Center are staffed with volunteers from the community, for the community.  Volunteers are needed for several different tasks:  staffing the front desk, greeting people as they enter, offering assistance and answering questions about events, classes, and exhibits, as well as handling shop sales, writing out receipts, and making and answering phone calls.  We also need volunteers for poster distribution, and assistance with special events.  An ongoing need is for a Gallery Crew to hang and take down exhibits and inventory artwork.  From May through October, there is an additional need for tending to the gardens.  Help with basic maintenance and upkeep of our historic building is always needed.  Help with basic cleaning, vacuuming, shoveling/snow blowing is also very much appreciated.  Whether you have an artistic talent that you would like to share, or would just like to get involved, volunteering is the perfect opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying and supporting the arts.
