Our Artist Choice juried show is open to artists across the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Peninsula— Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, Emmet, Cheboyan, Presque Isle, and Charlevoix counties. All 2D and 3D art mediums, abstract or representational, are welcome.  Awards of $300 for best of show, $200 for runner-up and $100 for 3rd place will be given as well as two $50 honorable mentions.  A special “Bonifas Featured Artist Award” will be given by the Bonifas Art Center of Escanaba.  There will be a $25 non-refundable application fee.     

This show will be juried by Victoria Hussey. Victoria is a visual artist and art educator at the high school level. She earned her MFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art and currently lives in Southeast Michigan. Although she enjoys working with various materials, her work is continually inspired by the beauty and serenity of natural landscapes. http://www.victoriahussey.com

Requirements

• Artwork must be original. (No reproductions, patterns, or kits accepted. Printed media must be hand-pulled by the artist.)

• There are no size limitations, although size might become a consideration upon final selections.

• Artwork must be labeled with artist's name and title of work (on the back of 2D work, at the base of 3D work). Please indicate top of work.

• Work must be ready to safely hang/display (no sawtooth hangers please).

• SAAC will retain 30% commission on all works sold for non-Sault Area Art Center members or 20% for $100 level members.  To become a member, CLICK HERE

• Artwork may not be removed from the exhibit prior to the closing date.

• Please indicate price of work and if not for sale, label "NFS".
